BC Home Energy Coach Terms and Conditions
The purpose of the BC Home Energy Coach Program (the Coaching Program) is to promote energy conservation in existing residential homes by providing information to interested parties about energy efficiency upgrades to eligible homes in British Columbia via a telephone hotline service and website.
The Coaching Program is funded by the Province of BC’s Innovative Clean Energy Fund. BC Hydro and FortisBC, although not funding or administering this initiative, are supportive of the purpose of the Coaching Program, and are providing promotion through marketing and outreach channels. The Coaching Program is delivered by City Green Solutions, a non-profit society.
The Coaching Program will answer questions from homeowners, contractors, local governments, and other stakeholders about energy efficiency rebate programs and upgrades for eligible homes in British Columbia.
Eligible homes include single family detached homes, mobile homes on permanent foundations, side-by-side duplexes, row homes, or town homes. Other buildings, such as multi-unit residential buildings, commercial, or institutional buildings, are not within Program scope. New construction questions are also not within Program scope.
Clients may access the following Coaching Program services:
- A website with information about energy saving upgrades and rebate programs.
- Access to Coaching Program representatives via a toll free hotline, e-mail, and other electronic communication channels.
Up to 1.5 hours of email, online and/or phone coaching is available for each client.
By using the Coaching Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
City Green collects, uses, and discloses personal information for the purpose of delivering and evaluating the Program in accordance with the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) and the BC Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the BC Home Energy Coach Program Terms and Conditions, under the authority of the Special Accounts Appropriation and Control Act.
